I am in the process of building my Berg. I need a new radio, what would be the best pick for my Berg with a 2 ESC set and a Dig switch setup? thanks for putting up with all the Noob question!

you pretty much have endless possibilities with the dx6i and dual esc's if you can get used to driving a stick |

| DX6 try Ebay nicer than the DX6i or airtronics RDS8000 both sticks have springs for returning to center. DX do not. The only use i see with 2 esc and a dig switch is shorting the motor out for lock. other than that there is no use for dig switch with 2 esc. |

Dual stick - Spektrum DX6. Lots of possibilities for setup. Pistol grip - Nomadio React. Has 4 channels and the ability to assign any button to do what you want. - Spektrum DX3r. 3 channels, but very user friendly to setup. |

I run two ESC's with semi free roll and dig using the gear switch. I have the same dig as a DX3R and independent axles.

If you are considering stick radios, get a DX7. It blows away the DX5, DX6, & DX6i. The programming is so much easier and it has a built in 3 position switch. If you can afford it, it's the better transmitter. I started with the DX6 and moved up to the DX7 so I speak from experience. I will admit, stick radios are not for everyone, but if you can get use to it, it's got endless possibilities. |

One of the guys posted his set up for the Futaba 4PK. It's a pretty spendy radio but in my eye's it's totally worth it. I have tried the stick radio thing and for me it just wasn't there. I have also tried te DX3R and had some major glitching issues and it felt like crap in my hand. I have never had good luck with Spektrum anything though. Maybe it has something to do with my bloodflow in my body o something. My buddy ran the car with the CX3R in it (his radio, my car) and no glitching. I run it and it goes wild. And nothing changed, not even a flick of the on/off switch. |

When I first was building my berg I bought the DX6i. I tried it but couldn't get used to the stick driving especially when under the comp pressure. So I went to my DX3R using a switch style setup. Then I upgraded to the Futaba 4PK and went back to dual ESC's. I would never go back to a stick radio or the DX3R.
