Default "Holy Roller" Mrs. Cruzin Illusions Berg Build

I was surprised that my wife was interested in RC Crawling. We had gone out a couple of times to run my crawler and she showed interest so I let her drive mine. She was definately hooked. Her birthday was coming up so I thought I would get her the parts to build her own. After sometime collecting the parts she would need I thought I would drop the surprise early. I figured maybe she would get it built by her birthday. She surprised me and had it done in less than a week working on it for a couple of hours a night. I am very proud of her wanting to build her own and us me just for guidance. I was really surprised at her soldier skills. She picked up on it quick and they looked great.

Here are the specs on her Crawler:

Axles: Berg
Front: not clocked for BTA Steering Set Up
Rear: Clocked to 25 degrees
Chassis: SWX
Steering Servo: JR DS8711
Battery: 3S 11.1V 1320 Lipo
Dig Switches: Holmes Hobbies Manly Switches
Dig Servo: Hitec HS-55 Feather lite servo
Motors: Integy V11 45T Pro Rock Crawling Motors
Wheels: Vanquish Products DH Pros 6 weights in the front, Zero in the rear
Tires: HB Rovers Stock foams with 1/3 Losi foams in front, HMTT Hybrid Reach Foams with 1/3 Losi foams in rear
ESC: Tekin FXR
Radio: Spectrum DX3R with 3100 Receiver
Steering: CKRC Tie Rod and High Steer Knuckles built with full behind the axle steering (Thanks Tim Magee for the design)
Axle Skids: Cato's Skids
Shocks: Losi 4" with White Springs and 35 weight oil all around
Rear Axle Lock Out: CKRC full straight axle conversion
Body: Losi Killah Body
BEC: Castle Creations set a 6.0V
Front Axle Link Brackets: 1/4" x 1/4" x 1 1/4" Aluminum C-Channel (Cut and Ground to fit the BTA Steering)

I would like to thank Tim Magee (Tmyjeeper), Ty Giebel (Turtle), and Cato (Cato) for their help and knowledge.

Her is Becky working on her rig "Holy Roller"

She installed all the electronics and kept it fairly clean

Her dig switch build with Holmes Hobbies Manly Dig Switches

Chassis looks clean, it's easy to clutter it up on berg builds but you did it nicely.

She thanks you all for the great comments. She is very happy and proud of her build. She has only run into one problem and that was during her second run at the comp tonight she did not have any input from her radio for about 10-15 seconds. I was just wondering if the FXR went into Thermal Shutdown. It didn't seem that hot and we could not check the codes because she was in the middle of her run.

We found the problem. She was overloading the receiver with the JR 8711, so it would shut down and reset in about 10 seconds. Thanks to Cato help, she bought a Y-connector with two females and one male end and hook up the BEC to run just the steering servo. She now runs the dig servo and receiver off of the built in BEC in the ESC and runs the Steering Servo off of the BEC. With the Y connector it was really easy to hook up and a must if you are running a high torque servo.
