Default Berg tube diameter outside???

Anyone near one. Like to get something on order today at work.

Berg is here only in spirit. :-P . Close is good enough. Is it 5/8 or 3/4" or.

the axles are 16mm o.d.

.627" give or take a few .000" due to plating...

When making my custom steering mounts i drilled a 5/8 hole in aluminum and cut it in half and it fits almost perfect to the size of the housing...

I took some 1" x 1/4" inch aluminum....Drilled a 5/8 hole then cut it in half at the center of the hole....drilled a 1/8" hole down the middle of that then drilled and tapped the axle tube...put a axial servo mount and wallahhhh....cheap steering mount...and that way i got to mount it at the exact height i wanted plus don't have those rings going below the stock axle to hang up like the stock steering kit...

did you have to take the axles completely apart?

I did it when i had taken them apart to clock the axle....i would guess you could drill and tap it without taking apart but i would not recommend it...Taking the axle apart is simple and recommended if you have never done it so ya can loc-tite everything.
