Default What spare parts do you bring to comps for your Berg?

I was wondering today,

What spare parts should I try to always have on hand for comps?

Or for that matter, what parts should I try to keep around so that I don't get stuck with a broken crawler while I wait for parts to come in the mail? (stuff like metric pinion gears, or berg axle parts that I can't pickup at my local hobby shop)

Right now I've:

2 spare short inner dog bones
2 spare long inner dog bones
2 spare axial stub shafts (and the 4 stock stub's)
a few spare rod ends
some spare screws

What parts do you guys typically try to keep on hand? and what parts do you typically break?

I sheared a front hex pin on one course and had to 3 wheel it the rest of the course. I had spares in my toolbox. You can use several things to replace these. May not be particular to bergs but I never broke on on my axial axles. 35t's, 11.1v and more weight probably played into this one.

The drive pins inside each hex?

I guess I do have 4 spare's of those also since I switched to axial hex's.

I have broke a hex pin also. A few extra bearings will come in handy if you still have the stock "junk" ones in your axles. The gears are not really expensive from TCS, nice to have spares for those too.

Two complete new axles, motors, extra tires on weighted wheels, dig switches and pretty much any thing else I can get in the truck or van.

But I haven't bought any 3M Super 77 spray glue YET

So you're saying you bring an extra rig... HAHA, damn I don't even do that, and you've seen first hand how often I break axles

Well your already light years ahead of me on the spares...you should be good to go. Im trying to get the extra complete berg axle on call right now. For the price of the parts your might as well get a back-up set and split with someone.

that is the way to go if you can it come out to about 20 bucks more to have a hole axle over all gears and locker. you could even get a spare motor and if you use 4mm bullets no big deal if it is the front or rear just plug the wires the way it needs to be for the right rotation but then again it only takes maybe 3 min and the gearbox is open, i have seen people change gears in less than 10 min total.

but right now i have
2 long
2 short
4 outer
2 small 2nd
2 small 3rd
1 big 2nd
1 big 3rd
pins
bearings
hexs
rodends
switches
servos
esc
spare frames
2 full sets of tires, soon to be 3
recevers
prob every thing but axle cases to build a hole truck

Spare axle . Have your motors with a bullet type connection and then unbolt you old axle and bolt in your new one. Then set it and forget it .

Bring some spare hex pins , wheel hexes . The innerds you have spares of now and you should be A OK .
