| e-hills' Team RCC KK 4.0 rebuild
I decided it was time to give this truck a once over, and make a few small changes. I ran a 3.5 for about 5 months until it broke the day before a comp back in febuary (build thread here). In a slight state of panic, I borrowed a 4.0 from raulduke, and slapped the truck together. Slowly, everything started to come loose, and after returning from Omaha, I decided to give the truck a good once over. Specs for this build: HARDWARE: Kamikaze Kustoms Zero 4.0 KK Pre-drilled Skid Plate Downtown Delrin Lower Links Traxxas 5318 and 5319 links for the uppers (f,r) Enroute Berg Axles with VP knuckles, Downtown Axle Gliders, Axial stubs, CKRC OTA steering link and JP lockouts Mayhem Berg offset 7's Hot Bodies Rovers (white) Losi Crawler shocks ELECTRONICS: Hitec 7955 steering servo CKRC 1500 mah 3s lipo/Holmes Hobbies 1300 mah 3s lipo Mamba Max x2 Futaba 4pk Castle BEC Integy 45t motors I started with a new replacement 4.0 from Kamikaze Here is what I started with Then it was time to tear apart the old truck so I can return the borrowed chassis Cleaned everything up and started to bolt everything back together with all new hardware Finally, I started to place the electronics in the truck before getting bored and going out I got a SDRCRC practice comp to attend tomorrow, and will also be attending the OCRCRC comp on Sunday, so this truck will be done tonight Last edited by Nabil; 03-31-2009 at 02:08 AM. |

Nice work bud, nice and clean. Hope to make it out to Donner, just can't seem to find a flight I want to pay for. It was cool seeing you again in Omaha. Later Farmer |

Its alive, ran it for about 30 minues on saturday before punching a hole in the front motor. Fixed it that afternoon, and ran the first comp with the new setup on sunday. Placed 3rd overall, I hit 2 gates i shouldnt have hit, but thats the price you pay when you are trying to learn something new. here are some pics Up next: MORE POWER!!! |

Got the pleasure of driving that beast last tuesday. The 4pk system is crazy good, the adjustable motor speed on the fly is surprisingly easy to use and really makes a difference. Will I go out and buy one, may hap I will it's that fun. BTW Thanks for getting my chassis back to me, I think it's time to retire her, she's had a good run. |

(hows that for a plug?) Is there anything you wanted to see in specific? let me know, and I will see what I can do. Maybe I can convince one of the locals to film while I drive? | |
