Not sure, as I don't have Bergs (yet)- but my plan was to build them around either my Black Widow chassis or the RC4WD Diablo chassis. Many people here have Berg builds. http://rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=168984 http://rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=159629 http://rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=144042 Last edited by Mudman; 04-02-2009 at 08:17 PM. |

Well i am curently running a mantis chassis from dna but it takes a lot to get used to it, one guy around my area runs a black widow chassis. The swx's seem to be liked along with the kamakaze (sp?) chassis, look at different build threads and see what people are using. Or do what i did and venture out and try something new that very few people have done.

There is no real definative chassis out there but with Kamikaze Kustoms chassis' you cant go wrong with. His products are absolutely amazing and they have the absolute best customer service. Another chassis that will work extrememly well is the DNA slingshot I havent seen the MOA version being sold yet but You can buy the Axial version and some 5/16 delrin tube to fab up some longer links and you got your self a really nice competitor |

Thanks for your help guys, now I have another question. What makes a MOA chassis different from a shaft chassis? I am going to read all the links that you guys gave me so I might find the answer their.

The TAG chassis is pretty sweet. They also do lower links. I am running the TAG~S on my Shafty rig. But they started with the MOA style rigs.

| http://www.fubarcrawlers.com/ This is the best chassis I have used bar none. The only thing that you need to watch for is there are some vendors that sell here that take about 4 weeks to get you your stuff. They also erase any posts that say that they take four weeks so you would never know. The one thing I can say is Fubar ships super fast. |

The MOA chassis can be alot narrower than a shafty rig. It can be lighter and the chassis really only has to be big enough to hold electronics. A shafts chassis is heavier and wider because it holds the tranny and dig servo and electronics. |

| Thank you Calikingcrawler, so what about the length? I was told by someone who I think has some know how in RC crawling that the stock berg chassis is to short? Could this be possible? If so what is the superb length for a MOA chassis?

Search a guy : screen name "the eye" he would know the answer to that. His name is Aaron. Personally I don't own a berg. But I want one. |

I have had really good luck with all the vendors here on this board. If I were you I would stick with them. The Fubar Skeeter and the KK 3.5 ZERO are the 2 chassis that I have run and either would serve you well. I am sure there are other good ones but you can not go wrong with these two. |
