Yes. I just finished a Berg build and put a 13t in front, 12t in the rear, (thanks again CKRC!) Tekin 45t Handwound's. The front wheels turning faster than the rear seems to help the rig crawl better and turn better.

I too run the 13T front and stock 12T rear.

Seems to offer some help in verts when the front tires turn faster than the rear, as well as the clod stall.

35t's with 12t pinions front and rear on a 3 cell....Almost enough wheelspeed.

Guys run different gears to help with the "Clod stall" thing. Lower in the rear helps the rear motor from stalling as easy. You don't have to run different gears to help Clod stall. Things like gear mesh, springs and wire size can also effect it.

I don't get how putting a 13t in the front over a 12t in the back can help prevent clod stall. Sure the lower pinion in the back can help prevent the rear from stalling, but the front is geared up (relative to the back) and thus, will spin faster than a 12t in the front under no-load situations???

I have a button on my React that I hit to cut front throttle dual-rate to 75% to slow the front motor down. Works a treat.

Oh, and to answer the original question, no, 12t front and back for me!
