When everyone says that their ride height is @ 3" are your shocks as long as they will go , and why do you run like this instesd of putting some sag in them for a lower belly height and still go out or up to 3". is there a benefit from running like that the places i crawl @ i need a low belly and a tall one for break overs my berg rides @ 2.25 and will drop out to 3.25 as a ref. thnx for your help.

I never run my shocks at max. It makes the truck act up.

I sit at about 3" but will drop out to 3 1/4 or so.

It seems everyone likes a slightly different setup from what I've seen.

Some run fully sprung (no down travel), some run full droop (no up travel), and some run semi droop (some up travel, some down travel).

I've only driven fully sprung trucks myself and they seem to be the most common around here, but I figure it mostly comes down to personal preference, chassis design, terrain, etc.

I would think that semi droop would work well, and I've thought about trying it myself.

I run my belly at 2 1/8 and it droops out to almost 3 1/4. and compresses down to 1 7/8. I run internal and external springs and it is working well for me.
