Default Trucknuts Beetlejuice Build

NOW FINISHED SEE PICS BELOW

As most of you know, being that I am the Intergalactic World Champion I am given access to items that most people might not get. I always get a large drink, and usually get charged for a medium. Sometimes I even only have to give a stripper half my check before she says she loves me. Thats just the kind of guy I am.

Today I am putting together what I think will become the next great chassis. The BeetleJuice. I have their chassis side plates, skid, high and med links, and a new prototype steering system. I will finish the car tonight and update. On with the pics

I really like your shock mounts!!! Your idea?

Whats the width of the chassis? Looks to be at least 3" (legal).

Great shape and nice links. Of course I'm a fan of the bodiless chassis

Anything bodiless is awesome. I've said it a few times on here lately, it's totally the next big thing.
It looks on the shorter side of the OAL tolerance. What does it measure end to end?

Its 2.5" but the shock mounts push it to over 3. I was told that would be good enough to make it legal. The idea for the mounts came from billygoat. Since the losi shocks have such a shitball design for the body side mount, this really helps let the shocks move without binding.

Looks awsome. But they're right by calling it a beetle ever seen a beetle get stuck upside down? Kinda funny to watch them spin their wheels to get flipped back over.

Here is the update. I have seen the Tekin FXR ESC on this site, but never looked at one in person. Dboy1k bought a case of them for his new crawlers and I might be getting one. I also ordered the PunkRC dig system. Its small. With the combined FXR and new dig, I could really tighten up my wiring. My Visa has been bad, and I'm going to punish it some more.

On a side note, the new steering fits great but flexes way to much for me. Hopefully I can get it revised (Oldgravyleg do work!!) and get the new design cut out of Aluminum. So it was back to the trusty KK steering link.

Not as sexy with all the wires and yellow zip ties .... but still awsome! The dig servo in the side shot makes it look like you have a tranny mounted in it .

Body panels will be interesting to see for this one. I'm anxious. While you're hatin' on your Visa... go ahead and order some new wheels. Those are a little scratched up.

I have been trying to power the motors wirelessly, and have a system down that works, but after I ran it last time all my hair fell out, and I lost 60lbs. I found the 60lbs again, but the hair will never be the same!!

And the yellow zip ties. I'm half Mexican, and you know how we are with our wild colors. On a side note the bright colored zip ties were like $2 cheaper than the black ones at Home Depot. My cheapness took over ( again maybe the half mexican ). When I rewire it for the FXR and new Dig I will make one that bolts in. And for the wheels. Dboy1k has 8 or 10 sets left in his person collection. I might beg a set from him.

Here's a link to a chassis I'm working on, it's as legal as yours. Didn't want to post my pics and jack your thread.

I agree there needs to be a clear definition for overall dimensions on these bodiless rigs. Until the rules say "the chassis must be 3" wide from outside of side plate to outside of side plate" then people will run spacers and bumpers to meet the requirements. It's a big grey area that really needs to be addressed.

rockedup ricky - nice. OVP lmao
