Time for yet another BJ build. I think this is my 4th full rebuild in 2 months, catching up with Dboy now. Received the chassis today after much anticipation. The finish came out really good after bead blasting. Main components carry over from my other build. BJ proto chassis DX3r Mamba Max JR 8711 45t handwounds VP DH pro comps Panther Cougers Last edited by ol' gravy leg; 07-08-2009 at 04:41 PM. |

Trying to figure out how to cram all the electronics in there. Started by drawing up a dig plate template and cutting it out of .085" lexan. I will eventually paint the plate to match the body panels. That's all for tonight, I'm going to bed. Last edited by ol' gravy leg; 07-08-2009 at 04:42 PM. |

We should just call you Dbiscuit, since its not sticking down here. And you have the rebuilding tendencies. This is your theme song |

Made some more progress tonight. This is my third version of the dig plate, made room to mount the Rx underneath it. Had to rewire the switches, as well. Antenna is tucked into Rx case. I wanted the servo towards the rear of the cockpit, but i couldn't get it done with the limited space. It was a very tight fit, but it's all in there and working. 12 3/8" wheelbase, 2 7/8" belly. Hope to have the panels cut and painted tomorrow. I also have a fresh set of beadlock rings on the way. Will post more when it's all done. Last edited by ol' gravy leg; 07-08-2009 at 04:43 PM. |

Looking good. Only one thing to worry about. What if your at a comp and I fart and the wind moves your chassisplate .000001" and your car comes out of spec and then the Navy seals parachute down from the sky and kill everyone just because my beef was strong that day. I will avoid Teakwoods before all comp from now on just in case.

hard to tell from the pics, but I only have the top of the side panels spaced out. the bottom is flat against the side plate. I didn't have long enough screws to space out the bottom, but I think I may leave it as is. haha what can I say. Spent a solid 7 hours in the garage. Feeling it today.
