Default Difference in Berg axles??

I just recieved my axles from CKRC and they don't have the name etched in the side. I remember ordering something that said it wouldn't work with the axles that had no etching on them. Is there any difference between the two? Trying to get this figured out so I can make sure I have the right axles..

Here they are. I know on fubar's website it says that his lockouts work with the newer style axles with Enroute etched in the side and that's what threw me off. I hope these are the right ones. If Kamikaze gets my chassis to me before the weekend I wanted to comp with it this Sunday.

I see what your saying now. I thought you might have had a set of the newest version.

I am not sure what the difference is in the 2....should not be much if any though.

Other than the missing logo they look exactly the same as mine...

Strange that the logo is gone though....

The difference is the tolerances between the knuckle and the housing. There may be a little slop using the Fubar lockouts with those axles, but not really a big deal.

So Tanis is there an easy way to clean up the slop with the Fubar Lockouts or is so little that you don't have to worry about it? I bought a set off of someone on here.

I had that version of the axles on my Nats rig, and the Lockout was only sloppy on one side, but I never did anything about it. It's a minimal amount and didn't bother me. I suppose you could find a shim the right size and shim it, if it bothered you One thing to note as well, is there is difference in the tolerances between the same kind of housings as well, so you might get lucky and not have any.

there is a rough difference of .015 on the ears of the tubes and like tanis said from tube to tube there are some slight differences in tolerance either way it shouldn't be enough to worry about

What about the axles that have NEWAGE on the side of them? Brian at CKRC said they have those in stock and can send me those instead. Would they be the same as the ones that have ENROUTE on the side? Also when can we get the newest version of the axles?

Even, if CKRC has them, their history even with the locals on delivery might mean you get the others first:?

Thats interesting, on my bergs (which were bought used on this site) with the fubar lock outs one of them has a small cut to fit washer. Mine also dont have the name on them

They will overnight the other set tomorrow. This is Korie btw. For some reason the mods still haven't approved me to post so I have to use Derricks SN to post on here. Kind of a PITA.

If I recieve my Kamikaze chassis before the weekend I will be ready to beat the axles to death! I don't know if I will recieve a confirmation for shipping or not from him??

i got the same axles...no etching...i wrote jake at CKRC about it...he says he went back and checked several sets they had on hand and had several with and several without the etching on the case. im not too sure what the deal is but i will say it did have me wondering about them especially knowing that they sell several "knockoff" versions of parts like the VP knuckles and what not. kinda iffy...

I just received a set from CKRC without etching. If they are a knock off then they're really good. I already have a set of enroute axles and I think they come from the same factory. I speculate that CKRC may have gone directly to the factory. But who knows, the color is a little darker than the enroutes but the gears and everything look the same. They are nice and smooth too. I would not be concerned.

But if you are paying for a particular set shouldn't that be the set you get. It isn't like they are cheap. I have set on the way. Now I am kinda getting nervous. I just checked and it says Newage not no name. It's kinda like putting Porsche emblems on a Ford Escort and then trying to sell it as a Porsche. I kinda like the laser etching

CKRC is great place to purchase online and I am sure if anybody has an issue they are going to fix it.

Yeah, but they are berg axles, period. Just missing the logo. My friend just told me his axles from his complete berg kit that is 6 months old doesn't have any logos etched on either. So for whatever reason some axles left the factory without etchings.

wow. never seen this much conversation about some etching on an axle... mine are old, before they started doing the etching in the first place.

So this means I got an old set? He said the shipment came in 3 weeks ago. I just didn't want axles that weren't what they were supposed to be. I could care less about the actual etching.
