| ARC09X TSAIS-GV Crawler Kit BERG ????
Just found this on ebay. It looks like Berg axels but with some changes. They look pre clocked and the knukles are longer and mounted diffrent. The price is high for what you get compaired the the Berg ARTR kit. I like the rims. Here a link to the web site http://tsais.com/products/cars/arc09x.html Last edited by docfire; 06-10-2009 at 04:43 PM. |

Yup, same manufacturer as the Berg stuff I believe. I don't like the knuckles, but maybe we will get lucky and the dimension of the axle C's is the same (doubtful). The machined mounts for the servo look like an improvement. I could live without clocked cases as I don't think they are needed. |

Not the same parts as the berg i am guessing. The bearing race does not look like it goes into the axle tube. Idk someone should try one out.

| Just got off the phone with the company, the guy told me that the axels are not Bergs and he didn’t know if Berg part would interchange “axels shaft”. I asked if they will be selling just axel kits and he said possible in the future. I am in the process of having them send one to demo, if that happens I will post photo here. Things I like:
With the other Proven Kits out there the Berg $299.99, and the Bully ARTR (comp ready) $349.00 why would someone burn their money. If they dropped the price to 249.00 the RC market might bear it. It does look like they have addressed some of the nagging Burg issues, but it still need to be tested. |

The "high steer" knuckles are barely "high steer" at all. That knuckle design isn't as good IMO. You can argue the ground clearance, but where ground clearance counts is in the center not tucked in/next to the wheel. I can't personally confirm but I was told the gears were the same. Never got an anwser on the axle shafts but was told that they would be continuing support of the first gen parts even with the release of the new axles they were releasing. | |

| The reference is to someone who is now banned on the boards that used to try and hit people up for free product. He wasn't.....let's say qualified in some peoples eyes to be someone that was reviewing products. You may have gotten this response to an assumed level of previous crawling knowledge based up on the lower number of previous tech posts. And this has been your RCC history lesson of the day. Tomorrow's class will go over why bumpers must be removed.... |
