Default My berg tuber attempt

My first tuber so I know it leaves some to be desired. I need to lower it some as it has 4" of GC and seems to sit to high, Has a 12 1/4" wheel base right now. Was going to get smaller shocks??? The GC will then be longer but its not going to any comps as of now. Made the links and skid plate out of Delrin. Its my first so go easy on me. Open to suggestions but don't want to modify the Tube.

Looks good. Yah it's tall! Smaller shocks would be the way to start. Are you doing any body panels?

how long are the shocks? i think 90mm would suit this truck nice.. or you could even remove the springs and thinken up the oil and see how that works for you. droop could be sexy on this rig

I want to try a partial droop, is that possible? Can I put the smaller springs inside the shocks? Anyone know what springs fit inside? Thought this would be so simple when I started the build as I can build anything, but I can really appreciate all the builds on this site now.

I'll get more pictures when I make some progress

Thanks for the advice

throw these inside the shocks.

i used to run a dual sprung "semi droop" system on my comp rig. when setup properly it works very well. and some shorter shocks would probably help too.

Once you get the shocks shortened, if your wheel base is too long, take the link ends off one end of your links (I'd probably do the front), and shave a little off one end of your links. Put the link ends back in, and bolt 'em back on.

Not only is the high belly going to give you a high center of gravity, your link geometry is suffering because of it too.

I'm not sure why you had to send me a nasty pm. I was just trying to point out that link geometry (mainly anti squat) is an important consideration when designing a chassis.
