Default one good motor?

so im running some 45t integy's and have been for about 8 months now with a 11t in back and 13t up front and dont have noticable stall anymore with it that way, i cant afford two real nice motors right now but one. will running just one quality motor cause any extra strain on either of the motors? also has anyone linked less quality motors with stall, in other words if i ran the nice motor in back to have alot better drag would it make the front, wich would have the cheap motor, stall like the rear did in the past?

also is there any of the "cheaper" motors that will hold drag brake better than the integy's? cuz im just rolling down hill now days lol.

I would say just buy another cheap integy until you get enough saved up for 2 good ones.

Just because you get a 35t from one company doesnt mean its going to have the same torque and RPM as one from another company.

IF you want more drag with an integy take off the spring on the magnet and bend it in more so it pushed tighter on the magnet...should increase your drag brake quite a bit. personally i would save up til ya can get two good motors. You will notice how much smoother and more torque you get out of a good hand wound...

yep, i do that right when i pull one out of the package lol. thanks for the tips though, guess i'll just save for now. are the "handwound" integy's worth having at all or not enuff of an improvement to justify the extra cash for an integy?

Re-build your old lathe motors

Cut the comms, or have it done by someone with a motor lathe(hobby shop).

Throw in some Reedy Quasar brushes pushed by Trinity purple springs(13oz) and you are HOOKED UP

With this little tune up your lathes will RIP!! Smoother low end and way more torque than a stock motor.

Also, with the stiffer springs, you will notice a stronger drag brake.

2 packs of Quasar brushes, & 2 packs of Trinity springs will run you around $14 bones.

Less than a new motor, and the end result ROCKS!
