Default Mariner's Rockshow

When I switched from shafty to MOA I wanted to find just the right chassis, one I felt would be as capable as my GC2 had been for me. Ran into Mike and the rest of the T1E crew at a local comp and liked the performance and look of the bodiless vehicle. I've been comping this rig all this year and it has not let me down.

T1E Rockshow chassis
Berg axles ( clocked front and rear )
Tekin FXR pro
CC bec
Spectrum DX3r
CKRC 1500 3s lipo
Punkrc dig switch
Integy 45 t
Hitec 7955TG servo
Losi 4" shocks limited 3/8"
Mayhem comp double phatties
HB Rovers w/ panther/proline homemade hybrids
Axial stubs ( clearanced cup and shimed in .030 )
homemade OTA steering setup

I was inspired ( read stole ) the upper shock mount idea off the forum here and really like the way it lets the shock body move. Forgot who's build but thanks My OTA steering also incorporates the best features of those I've seen here as well but after all the hours spent templating and fitting I should have just bought one! Had to move the upper link mount aft to make room for servo placement which seems to have limited the fronts articulation.
The body panels are waiting on paint. Considering running them clear.

No mention of that beefy-looking delrin roof panel..........hmmm

Sucker looks solid and advantageous

Wow, that looks great. I really want to try one of these Rockshow Bergs. I hope the rules don't change for next season somehow outlawing these.

I think if you had this rig just a couple months sooner, you would have won the season. Great looking/working truck John

How are you liking that dig switch?

p.s. - Were having a comp in August on the MD/VA border... little closer than the last one. Hope some of you guys can make it.

Thanks guy's. There are a couple of custom mods not mentioned ( gotta keep some secrets ) . Funny you mention the dig switch Brian, as one of my " custom mods " just bit me in the a@@ about an hour ago. Seems that if one of my " custom " homemade aluminum endbell protector/ heat sinks comes loose and dead shorts the motor leads the aforementioned switch emits wisps of smoke and ceases to drive that motor. Dont think there's a warranty for stupid.
