For the price, CKRC has a set of Berg axles on sale for $199 something......I just bought a set to keep around for spare parts, and I'll replace stuff as I use it, then already have axles for my next build. This way you have the bearings, gears, axles inner and outer........Everything.

Checked everywhere, and everywhere is out of stock. Don't really feel like forking out $200 for a set of axles I only need a few bits out of either.

I may send CKRC an email, see what sort of ETA there may be...

I'm pretty sure the Hotracing gears are the same.

Well, I'm sure all the gears will swap in, either way (berg to HR - HR to berg). The motor gear on the HR is standard 48 pitch, not metric. I know it can be swapped into a berg to run standard pinions. There is something else about them but I have crs.

Am I more likely to break a HR jobbie? What is the quality like on the HR gears?

Breaking is sort of secondary to running anyway!! At present, its not going anyway.

Well, I look at it like this, I got roughly $900-1000 in my comp rig, so $199 to have spares for my entire mechanical driveline, and a set ready for my next build is a two fold benefit. If I go to a comp, I can crawl the way I need to, not having to worry if I blow out a gear, locker, or axle.

As for job, I'm just a highschool/ Vo-tech school graduate electrician/ machinist/ welder - fabricator/ PLC programmer by trade.

The stuff I've built and worked on over the years got me into all different skills, and anything you can learn is a definite bonus.
