Default Keep ripping off lower links!

I have been ripping the rod end set screws out of the lower links of my chassis, mostly when giving some wheels speed spinning up over a ledge. Is this common. I'm thinking of installing RC4WD metal rod ends on my lower links.......Opinions????:?

I'm using Axial AX-10 rod ends (Plastic) on CKRC Middle bend HD links. I'm ripping them out of the plastic rod ends......I got spares, but bad if it happens in a comp.

If I go with RC4WD rod ends, should I get the Stainless steel Heim joints for the axle end or the standard aluminum ball ends? The SS has a machined male thread with a jam nut........Not sure if it would hang up more despite the benifits of stainless. Maybe I'm just ahead of myself here....Dunno.:?

Traxxas ends! Screw the studs into the rod ends first. Or ya can drill/tap your links to 4mm studs (don't use stainless studs, they bend) and revo ends.

I used to have the same problem until I switched to 4mm set screws and revo ends. That should take care of it

If it takes one more person telling you to use revo ends, add me to the list

Hmmm, I got some of those here......But only stainless long set screws. Are they really better than the RC4wd set up?

Metal rod ends suck. Period.

Do as we say! Quit over thinking rod ends.

I have been running the revo rod ends for over a year on my stainless links and I have NEVER pulled one out. It had had some rough landings too.

X6

Never had an issue with a Revo or Jato rod end, been running the same ones on my 12lb Super for two years.

If you need to go the cheap route, 6/32 screws work for attaching them to the links, drive them in the rodend and cut the head off..

Revo rod ends and 4mm hardware. Plenty of beef for a 2.2

Revo ends also work well with #8 hardware if that's easier for you to get.

Right now I run axial ends with the side bend in them at the chassis end of the lower links........Will the straight Revos clear?

Thanks.

Axials get sloppy fast...and as everyone has said just aren't the proper strength for crawling.

Revo rod ends FTW. Though they still wear slightly, they are strong and take easily 4x longer to get sloppy enough to notice.
