Default In Need of mentor

I am new so pardon me if this is not the correct place to post. While I have experience in RC Helis, Airplanes and Trucks. I am inexperienced in Crawlers. I have determined I would rather piece together quality parts instead of a purchasing a kit and the repacing most of it anyway. I am posting here because I want to put together a berg and would like to work with an experienced builder or builders to avdise me on parts and construction of my Crawler. Thus far I think my first purchase will be the axles. Am I missing anything with this choice? and Any advice on where and what to purchase?

Looks like a great start. Do you have a radio yet?

I have not purchased the radio for this truck yet. I have several radios from a Futaba 14mz to a Spectrum DX6i that I use with helis and airplanes. And Futabas on my other trucks. My decision is for a Futaba 4PK. It should be the best radio for the task and allow me to use it with my other trucks.

Great start. :-P

The 4PK is a great radio, especially if you plan on running 2 ESC's.

If you need any help on setup with the chassis or anything, let me know.

Great list so far. Might I suggest some super 300 cvd's and some axial comp shocks. I would say since you can already use stick controllers and own them, use that. I only use a 4pk cause I get confused with stick controllers.

Super 300's from SDS Customs should be next on your list.......well worth the money.

I prefer the Traxxas Big Bores with Losi white springs but thats just me.

You are going to have a sick rig.

Next on the list should be:
2 Tekin FXR's
Castle BEC
and contact Ripper77777 for all your links.
Jwalker can spray you up a sick body as well.
