I would drill the front axles for a screw in through pin
http://www.rcslot.com/pc-radio-contr...ujoint--_n-100
onto the cvds. Jeep'n doug makes a clocking tool for them. I used the ckrc servo mount. Had to fab a ota tie rod. Lock tight the cvd collar that holds the cvd pin in. the V1 top link mounts bolt right on. The axles/gears/cvd/knuckles are plenty strong/good. No need to do anything with them

I don't know how you can get any work done with them paper weights in the way. I tell ya what I will do. I am willing to help with this dilemma. You send me the paper weights. I will take them off your hands, and it wont cost you anything.

i took and drilled through the steering arm with 3mm drill and tap cause i was only using 3-4 threads when i tightened it up and had a machine shop make me a couple sets of them cause they broke on me a few times ...i have had very good luck with these axles only broke the rear axle stub off..i run HH 7t pullers in my truck and the axles take all that they can dish out...if you want to sell them hit me up i got a set of V1 i will trade you for them....good luck

pictures would be great, looking for the servo steering set ups on the front axle. I would like to see what options are out there.

I have my Berg sitting here, Just waiting to get started I'm doing a full v2 Tracer to get started with and really appreciate this thread it has already answered a few questions I have. One of the things I was wondering is any body knwo where I can get some motor skid plates I understand that I can get some teflon from McMaster-Carr that I can use on the axle and trans housings and have no issuses with making my own parts just wondering if there were any premade options out there? Well sorry for High jacking I hope to get my own build thread started soon but the money involved in this build is gonna make it along term build.

I think you will be better off making your own. Some have been waiting a long time/months for these.

Hope this helps.

I have made some temp ones that work fine, but I am working on some very nice ones at the moment. I will post when I am finished.

do you have any pics of how you drilled into the axle? The set screws let go frequently on my V2 tracer.. which is a pain..esp when you only have 3 wheel drive in a comp.
