Super easy to set up. No need for a hotwire unless you want to change your throttle profile (the only thing you cannot control directly on the unit itself) but you shouldn't need to mess with that.

The link posted above seem not to be working for me... Try this link and read the "Quick Tune" directions for setting up your fxr...

It's what I did with mine.

It is very easy to set up using the mode and incr buttons (No hotwire needed). Here are the basic crawler setting I use.

DRAG BRAKE = 11

REVERSE STRENGTH = 11

CURRENT LIMITER = 11

PUSH CONTROL / ANTI DRAG = none

REVERSE TYPE = 2

THROTTLE PROFILES = 3

VOLTAGE CUTOFF = 3 (for 3s lipo)

I assume throttle profile 3 is the default setting on the Fx-R which is Linear and according to the instruction sheet , non adjustable .
Can this be adjusted via a HotWire OldHippie ?

Apologies if this has been asked before .

I haven't used my hotwire on an fxr for long I don't remember but I think ya can? Since I have a 4pk with throttle expo I don't deal with the curve on the esc. Sorry I'm no help.

Current limiter is just that. Lower numbers = less power?
