Default bmuzz1's Re-build #3 using Fubar Crawlers "New" Chassis

MTHead AKA John AKA Fubar Crawlers has just come up with a new chassis design for all of us MOA Guys and Gals.

The new chassis design uses a 2" wide channeled skid unlike the Skooter which used a 1-3/4" skid. This is for added stability over the more narrow Skooter chassis. Although the lower links maintain almost the same placement as before the uppers benefit from the 1/4" wider mounting position making the suspension feel tighter and more stable overall.
You'll also notice that the chassis skid has been placed at an angle to allow for more break over clearance.

If you are familiar with John's work you'll know that he makes one hell of a chassis and his attention to detail is top notch!

My Re-build will consist of:

Fubar Crawlers new MOA chassis
T1E rear lower links
Berg axles
CKRC 300m 3rd gears
Team Brood 40t R/T motors / 13t front, 12t rear pinions
ATI Turbine 2.2 wheels / Axial offset front, berg offset rear
Losi Boss Claws with Nova 5.5 dual foams front and stock foams rear
Punk dig
Tekin FXR
JR8711 steering servo
CC bec
One-off Fubar steering link
Vp Axial high steer knuckles
Losi 4" crawler shocks
Ko Propo EX-5UR

Losi Grappler Pro body painted by briansbodies

Thanks Ryan...

Mine still looks the same as when you were here, staring at my wiring. I did get the rear shocks rebuilt and added an ounce to the front end, baby steps...

Got her put together. I still need to install the electronics but it's a roller now. Wheelbase sits at 12-3/8" and compressed it sits right at 12.5".
I have a really good feeling about this chassis not that I was ever unhappy with my Skooter chassis. This one just feels different.

The front of the skid sits about 3.25"" of clearence. The rear is at 3-7/16" and the arch of the rear lower link is at 3-5/8" ...Nice!!

You dont need real motors. They just break stuff. I am still running Integy 45 turns, the same ones I have been running for a few years now. To each their own. Good luck finishing your build. See you on the rocks

Hahaha...

I saw one sitting on the work bench, but it's probably for one of the locals.

The t1e rear lowers really helped out a lot and are perfect for this chassis.
