Awesome Build. I think I like that chassis better than most of the other bodyless I have seen. What brand are the bent rod ends on the upper chassis end of the links? |

Do I need to get hardened pins for the mann gears? What pinions/motors are other people running? What track width (tire outside to outside) front and rear? Thanks for the help |

I am still running stock(drilled) gears and stock pins. Almost a year now with no problems. (knock, knock, knock) |

Well finally got it out on some rocks for a shakedown run, got a few scratches on the axles"thumbsup" http://i946.photobucket.com/albums/a...RGBUILD072.jpg http://i946.photobucket.com/albums/a...RGBUILD076.jpg http://i946.photobucket.com/albums/a...RGBUILD067.jpg Then a solder failure at the FXR and i puffed a battery http://i946.photobucket.com/albums/a...RGBUILD081.jpg Didnt get much time so hard to tell how the rig was doing. Got home and fixed the wire, and inverted the rear shocks(did the front yesterday) http://i946.photobucket.com/albums/a...RGBUILD086.jpg http://i946.photobucket.com/albums/a...RGBUILD084.jpg |
Looks good. Well? Do you like it? |

Boy are you lucky with that solder failure, 10 minutes on the rocks with a brand new rig, it coulda been on fire! How were the rock at Markam? |
After a closer look at your pics, use a piece of 1/4" delrin rod to tie the shocks together, at least the fronts. I worry about breaking the front off the chassis with out it as the chassis was designed with a cross member in that spot. Since we can't get new ones of we break them now, error on the side of caution. I have a bunch of 1/4" delrin rod if you are out to save you an order. Let me know and I will cut some for you tonight and bring it tomorrow along with your v2 CO caps for big bores. |
