Default Team Red Eye

Well.. I couldn't beat them, so I joined them.

Here is a roller from NicklePimp that looks situated so I don't want to change much. Maybe delrin front links, stainless/ titanium chassis hardware, and shocks/ springs setup closer to my old stuff. Steering setup made by Etype_R and I have zero plans of changing it. Axle wraps made by Lonewolf.

We have a long winter ahead so this won't be a quick build.

Right now I'm thinking 3s 40t's, dx3r + mmp with punk but I'm leaning towards micro pro's and a 3pk.

I'm used to a 9.1" rear track width. Is there any wheel available that puts me close to that?

Maybe try some VP narrow tracks for the rear.

What is the wheelbase, it looks kind of short.

Wheelbase is spot on.. I think it looks tall with the combination of over stuffed tires and springs maxing the suspension out. I'll change these seeing as the wheels were on my Losi and I have softer springs I'm going to try, including in the shock.

Strawb.. I'm in Minnesota.. We're a little behind on everything.

Looks good If my eye's are right it looks like you have 350 hubs all round, is that correct? If so you could switch to 225's in the back and that brings in the track 1/4". That may be a start? Other than VP Narrow Track SLWs, which are no longer made, I'm not sure what else would get it any narrower. With 225 hubs the hex is almost at the face of the wheel.

Good eye Kieren.. I only have two rims at the moment and both with 350's. I'll have to try the 225's and grind the hex a little. Shouldn't be too bad to get used to.

It's not the size of the axle, it's how you use them haha. Your right tho bud.. These are far from what I'm used to.. Including this kick ass 3mm hardware.

I have two delrin UCW's and they are losi offset so I might mount them up for now. I can't run it for another couple months and I'm excited about working on a new rig.

No pictures yet but it's coming along nicely.

T1E with modded skid and shock mounts cleaned up
DH's with narrow hex
SLW's with 250's
KK front lowers
t1e rear lowers
Hard coated uppers with bent Axial rod ends
Majority of hardware is stainless
JPH 37 turns
Dig switches
16-18g wire
MMP un-cased and might try without heatsinc
86Jeep steering mod in progress
30* clocked front
link clocked rear

Trying siped pink rovers for spring but running Sedona fronts and Rovers rears when the rock temps get up.

My favorite tool so far has been MAP gas. Loctite was pita for some reason.

I'm at a spot on my steering mod that has me confused.. How are you getting your pinion to mesh? I've seen holes drilled in the case but nothing really clear as to where I would start.

**Edit.. I'm kinda seeing where I should drill. Motors aren't in hand so I'm gonna wait for those before I commit to the holes. This has been a rewarding mod for me. I missed that.

86Jeep mod is about 90% done and a dremel did all I needed. Fun mod to do but I'm glad it's almost over with.

New lockers are in the near future. The slop reminds me too much of my last rig.

The 10lbs of shit into a 5lb diaper starts. I should be able to drive this thing soon. Any tricks for fitting a Mamba Max Pro? I'm ready to make the skid wider but if I can avoid that that would be cool.

And just to see if you're paying attention could you name this gun? Thanks.

Thought I was in a hurry to finish this but the weather says differently. I should have took more time on things.. Oh well. It's only short wire now and I'm learning to solder. Finally.

I've been searching even under noisy cricket and still no results. I dont think a person needs to own something like that but it would be cool to find out what it takes..
