Default Smething different

I was running the bjv3 but with any chassis with links there is still so much in the way of the rocks so I want to try something different. I havent drove it yet but I will give it a try on the 8th at our next 801rcc comp.

I like it. Could you get a close up of your shock mount? That's really cool.

Why have shocks? Let the body control the flex

Looks good

lol yeah, that would have to be a thick body. You kinda need shocks. I tried a pimp cane chassis and I didn't like the way it flexed because of the pressure it would release when it flexed. This way it is super smooth.

Its made out of home depot 1/2" square tube and a 3/8" grade 8 fine thread bolt with two nuts. It also has some stops on it so it wont flex to far.

i tryed same setup with torsion chassis ( without shocks ) and this one link
twist bar does not hold up ... it bends or breakes the frame :(
With two links at the axle you are golden

Wow Tim,

Always striving for the better setup.

I'm excited to see how it performs this saturday!

Inwould probably go for a double link setup though.
One seems like it may break in the right situation,
But without seeing it in person I could be wrong.

Its actually really strong without the links. I put the links on to make the wheelbase exactly 12.5 on each side and the added support doesnt hurt either.

Well got 3rd. It actually drove allot better than I expected. Mybe ill stick with it and see how it works at the next comp. They were brutal courses. The top 3 were the only people to finish course 3 and 4.

1st-berg
2nd-xr10
3rd-berg
4th-berg
5th-xr10

2.2

I might need to make a skid plate for the rear motor because kept getting hung up because there are no links to slide on.

Nice!
Do you remember the old skateboard Lappers?(they were designed for the trucks so you could make it up curbs and no get hung up on the pool coping) google skateboard lappers I think a design like that would help out.
