| BJV4-Dlux BERG tube kit..
Here you go, I finalized the kit today and took it out and crawled in the Crawling Compound!! Rig seemed to work well with no tweaking yet. Total weight loss was 8oz..final weight 6lbs. This kit was very easy to install but you do need to have some fab skills for drilling and tap work. I started with stock berg rear axle with Fubar lock outs and my link geometry. Front was stock Berg axle clocked 20 degrees with Super 300s,servo notched in long tube,4mm bushing mod with Vanquish knuckles(non zero ackerman) with my link geometry. I did have to purchase Axial Cs and CKRC straight axle kit, this was a requirement for the kit. as you can see from the pictures, you can see my link geometry mountings compared to Dlux mountings. Virtually the same as his mounts are very adjustable. My rig seemed to act the same as before, but I did notice a weight loss. I increased the caster dramatically to see the results,so far I like it. I did also use RCInnovations steering arm (REBUILT) in machined aluminum...this is NICE!!. I got a little to twist happy and from the pics of the servo mount I had to install another screw..this mount is well built but you do need to take extra care in drilling and tapping(Use a GOOD quality Tap) and dont muscle the bolts...they will strip the threads..OOPS !! I will do some testing this weekend at a local spot,EARLY because its fricken HOT here in Arizona and compare it to my sons and daughters rig which are close duplicates to my previous non Dlux build!! Stay tuned for the results of the testing..I also will try to answer any questions about the Dlux build on my rig.. Thanks Eric for your dedication to the crawling community... and Thanks for letting me test this kit.. Before Dlux Kit After Dlux Kit... Looks great Marc! Thanks for posting up on your findings. I think we think a lot alike. Its a relief to see somebody that is as established in the Berg game that is running the shocks and links like I am. Sometimes I worry about doing crazy stuff. LOL. Good to see another whitey on the block too! |

| They are if you look at the kit (that Erik sells) you will see it comes with a AL front long tube so you do not have to cut shave or mill the tube for the 86 Jeep steering set up. It is really cool I did not think you could get the tube that small but it is very strong.

| testing has gone well so far..love the looks of the delrin tubes and the weight loss is great!! adjust ability is phenomenal!! still making changes..to be specific the rear uppers in relation to the adjustable link mount..made 3 sets of upper rear links to try different positions..will try the same line to see any difference.. stay tuned.................Erin |
