Default Colby's 2012 T1E Moonbuggy berg

Well... ECC is in 2 weeks or something like that... and Im just now building my rig Been out of competition for a few months and I've missed it pretty bad, but now its time to do stuff right.

Here are the specs for my truck according to what I have on the way so far.

2012 Rockshow Moonbuggy Chassis (In WHITE)
Berg axles
Brood 35t motors
HS-7955 servo
Mamba Micro's
G-force 800mah batteries
wantasummit dig
SCX shocks
and more to come.

Here are my axles that I got from reflection. Ive done a little bit of trimming on the cases, but everything is stock internally, and the knuckles are mismatched. They are however cut for the 86jeep style steering (If thats what its even called these days) I want to get some super 300s, and some VP knuckles and try out some knuckle weights. Ive never driven a rig with those, so this should be fun! Learning all over again!

My plans are to pull them completely apart, trim my cases even more, and turn down my tubes on the lathe in my auto shop at school. (My teacher loves RC, so i get special privaleges)

Ive been away from competing for a few months, and it feels like its been years the way things have changed, just by going to many comps without a rig, and watching how these trucks handle now with all the new parts and the new style chassies. Im 18 now, its really funny looking back on all the times ive changed my mind and went in different directions that sucked.. but this time, im 18, im graduating highschool in a month, so its time to grow up. I definetly love competing, and couldnt have this rig together without my awesome friends in this hobby. Fishmaxx, Grimreeper, Chicklet, BTF, Reflection, Ittybitty, 4xford, all of you have helped me so much over the years, (Even you chick) and I just want to send a huge thanks to everyone of you and I cant wait for ECC!

More pics and updates as the build progresses!

Not to mention all of us nobodys who gave you good deals on parts only for you to turn around and sell them a week later

Just kidding dude. I'm glad you are getting back into it. I think the berg Rockshow is a great platform for a comp build! I'm sure it will be killer.

I'm glad you brought that first point up! thats what I meant when I said its time for me to grow up. I cant thank everyone on RCC for all the crap ive gotten from them over the years, but I do appreatiate all the help ive gotten from everyone, and Im sure I will be receiving more as time goes on.

And thanks! I got pretty depressed after coming up to the ocoee without a rig, but I deserved that for getting rid of my old truck. Hopefully this rig will be the last one I build for a while. Especially with work, girlfriend, and college coming up!

I told you those axles were kinda hacked and had a few mismatched parts. Little bit of work and a few good parts and they'll be fine. Glad I could help you out Colby. Hurry and get it done. I may see ya at ECC if I can get the time off work.

Thanks Marcus! I'm hoping I get the ESC situation straightened out. As long as that happens I will have it running for sure

Soooo today I got to work for about 20 minutes on the lathe with my tubes. I had alot of work to do in class so work was short, but I got everything set up and got to start turning down my tubes. Im going to sharpen my teachers tools tomorrow and hopefully finish the rear. Im looking at getting a new long tube for the front and turning it down as well. Heres some crappy cell pics I snapped:

Haha its the old crappy one in the back of the classroom. Better than no lathe at all right!?

Caution: I'm a proffessional redneck. Do not try this at home.
