Default A Southern Sniper Build Thread

I'm not good at these build threads so here goes

SPECS:

FRONT AXLE:
STOCK BERG CASES MACHINED MOTOR MOUNTS
86 JEEP STEERING MOD
CCD TUBES
FAST EDDY BEARINGS THROUGHOUT
VP 8* CHUBS AND KNUCKLES WITH 12MM BEARING MOD IN KNUCKLE
BUTCHERED VP KNUCKLE WEIGHT
BROOD 30T VAPORS
DLUX GEAR COVER AND BATTERY MOUNT
DLUX NO SLOP KING PIN BUSHINGS
RC BROS 7075 LOCKERS
SUPER 300'S
DRILLED GEARS
SDS 3RD GEARS AND 2ND GEAR ON ORDER

REAR AXLE:
STOCK BERG CASES MACHINED MOTOR MOUNTS
DLUX GEAR COVER
DLUX REAR UPPER LINK MOUNT
RC BROS 7075 LOCKERS
DRILLED GEARS
SDS 3RD GEARS AND 2ND ON ORDER
RC AXLE MASTER REAR SHAFTS (REPLACING WITH TI HULKSTA SHAFTS WHEN IN STOCK)

2X BRXLS IF THEY FIT
HITEC 7954 WITH ROBITRONIC ARM

TIRES AND WHEELS:
DLUX CF WHEELS 1" WIDE
NARROWED KHAOS TIRES
CI CLOSED CELL INNERS AND WHAT WORKS FOR OUTERS

CHASSIS:
T1E SNIPER
DELRIN SPACERS REPLACED WITH 3/16" ALUMINUM TUBE
3/16" ALUMINUM TUBE UPPER LINKS
T1E TI LOWERS
SCX10 SHOCKS

AS OF TONIGHT THIS IS HOW WE SIT
UPPERS ARE 8/32" ALL THREAD TILL I GET THE OVERALL LG SET
LOWERS ARE A TRIAL PAIR

Looking very good and clean! Interested to see how this chassis does with Berg Axles.

Yes sir very thin. Those are actually for my Super. I got a little carried away. The thin part measures (.010). Thanks to a great member he shipped me some big gears all I paid was shipping

You're going to love the vapor motors. I have a set in both the Berg and the XR Sniper.

Thanks. The Creep 30T were awesome before. So I can't imagine what the Vapors will be like.

i ran the vapors today with Harvo at the whitewater center and i can honestly play dukes of hazzard with these i need to put an 01 on the side. cant wait to see what you come up with on the sniper berg..

Machined the backside of my Knuckle weights off today and cut them In half. This weight plus the 1/4" weight I cut in half is 1.6 oz on the scale together. With them at that weight it puts me to my goal of about 3oz of knuckle weight total.



Finished drilling my gears today as well.
