Default Berg for JohnRobHolmes

JRH is finally joining the cool kids and building a Berg!

I am going to build the basis of the truck, axles, chassis, suspension.

The rest of the details as far as motor's, ESC's, servo's, ect. will be done by John.

Starting with:

RcBro's Executioner Chassis in 1.5mm carbon
RcBro's 7075 Tubes front and rear
RcBro's 7075 Rear link mount
Berg gear boxes that have been shaved, motor plates milled and front motor relocated.

I can only imagine the motors that will go in these axles.

It's been three years since I had a berg!

I'm building a set of Puller 400 based motors for it. All black and gunmetal grey parts. A prototype compound curve magnet shape is getting made right now, FEMM results show a decrease in terminal resistance along with smoother starts.

It will be a great platform to wring out protos!

Very nice, they look just like the links I need

I didn't think it was possible to run OG 300's with 8* VP parts, if it is I would love to know how.

You just need the Axial stubs for the 300's. Or at least thats all I did on mine.

Awesome, well the axles I have had AX10 C's and VP Knuckles so I should be golden. I have a lot to learn about these things called Bergs, just as well I am in the good hands of RCC.
Thanks Big Ted.

It's 3/16" diameter from McMaster. I run a 10-32 die over it, then drill and tap Revo rod ends to match.

Looks good jack. Better build this thing strong. When I first met John he was running a fire breathing 6s dragon. He would power it through the deepest darkest cracks he could find. Shot sparks out of the end bell for at least 8" lol

Your links are next Cam!

You need the Axial stubs, then you can buy the VP 8* C's and knuckles for an SCX10. The only mod you have to do is bore the C's to 14mm.

Made some progress over the weekend. Put some shocks on to check the stance. Looking good I think!
