| FBA axle shafts - XR length – Dlux
Did you guys think I would really leave you hanging without an axle shaft? These have gone through testing and not a peep out of them. They have held up rock solid! These axle shafts are to fit a Berg (with the Missing Link Locker) or Axial XR10. Made from heat treated 4340 which is some of the best grade steel around. I then zinc coated them to protect them from the elements. The 4340 shafts will come with either the stock Axial stub (Wraith/XR style) or the 8mm stub version. You will need knuckles to match the stub shaft. If youre running the Axial version, either a XR or Wraith knuckle is needed. If youre running the 8mm stub version, you will need knuckles that accommodate 8mm stub shafts (such as the Dlux knuckles). These universal shafts are capable of approx 70* of steering. These shafts are virtually identical to the Axial shafts except I added material everywhere I could get away with. The inner shafts are no longer sloppy like the stock ones for this reason. There is only one big problem with these shafts. The problem is that they are so expensive for me to produce that I cannot order as many as I think we will need all in one shot so, if you think you want these, grab them while you can. As soon as I start running low, I will order more but it will be close to 2-3 months from me ordering till they are back on the market. Group buys and dealers welcome when purchasing 5 sets or more. Wow! So about 50 views and zero replies in both the Berg and XR section. This site is going down faster than I thought. Sad. I hate Facebook but I guess thats where the action is? |

I like your work. It is amazing, but too expensive for me. Otherwise I would have them in my rig.

Is there any plan on you making the axial stub shaft, that is the part I always break on my xr10. these are a great addition to the dlux line up. |

Crazy. I never hear of people having consistent problems with the stub shafts. Not even on Wraith type cars. What do you break? I couldnt get myself to make the stub. If I was to make it, it would have driven the cost way up, which I would be fine with if it was the ideal design, which its not. I couldnt get myself to make the ideal design since it already exists in a 8mm stub shaft for much less money (again). So, IMO the stock stub shaft will probably work for most but, if you have an issue, there is a bulletproof option. |

Ah, yeah. I think that is a very un common problem to have. These shafts are all ground to 70* steering too so there is no more chance that people will take too much material off. |

I wonder how many people have unmodified bergs lying around. usually they change out the tubes, c-hubs, and knuckles, and already have some kind of axle shafts besides stock. are the wraith long side shafts the same as the xr shafts? the site says out of stock on the xr shafts. My website cart is not perfect by any means. I have it so it estimates high. Hopefully most could attest that if I can ship for less, I send a refund for the difference.

I guess you edited your post about cost... LOL. I just checked Ebay. My cost on shafts even with shipping is almost $2 cheaper than the cheapest on Ebay. Wraith short nor long are the same length as XR. |

Work is killing me! I can't take it anymore.. Have to post.. Can't resist the urge....... OK, so I have been running the new locker and the F'n Bad Ass(FBA for short) axle shafts, for almost 3 weeks. With a comp the last 2 weekends and one this Sunday. I have tortured my poor rig! The fitment of the locker, shafts, gears, and superlite's, have taken all I can throw at it! So far.. Muuwaahahahahaha... The comp this weekend, cost me a set of XR gears each time I ran there.. 2 sets, at one comp! So in light, it will be a great feet, to leave with nothing broken! Tho, I don't have many worries about it.. I'll keep ya updated! 100%, if shipping is cheaper, Erik refunds! I thought something was wrong with my order or a part was out of stock, the first time I got a refund! Then realized what it was for.. How awesome is that! |

sometimes I am a bit dense is this right? ...... we can use xr shafts or your new ones with the new lockers. (on stock berg tubes) and if so do you have stock xr shafts in stock? yes I did say your price on axial shafts is significantly lower than ebay prices |

Might have to shorten the tangs, just a 1mm, depending on tubes and C's setup. Atleast I did.. | |
