what mods for berg V1 axles. not going over board

Hi from the UK

so ive bought some berg V1 axles and they are currently on there way over the pond so i have plenty of time to think about mods.

my plan is to lighten and improve but on a budget the opposite of everything comp crawler.

so what can be done to them?

im going to be making my own delrin tubes on my lathe. i have a plan for carbon rear tubes, has it been done before?

can i modify the front for wraith universals?

anything else that wont really break the bank?

Stating the obvious is too easy and apparently reason enough for me to get called names, so I try different approaches sometimes. I haven't been called a name in a few days so, maybe it's working.

wasn't aware the thread existed, i read it through and picked up a few helpful bits... plenty about buying parts not a lot about doing it yourself.

can i wraith or xr10 universal be modded to fit the standard locked or do you 100% need the missing link locker?

you could mod wraith shaft to fit without the missing link but it is an enormous pain in the @$$. Trust me buying the missing link locker is worth it. Making your own berg parts is really hard but it is doable. It takes a lot of prototyping.
