This is good to hear. Having somewhere near by to crawl would be great.

That looks like a neat facility...I'm just getting into this Crawling thing, ordered my AX-10 XC-1 last night. Need a place to hang out, and that place is on the way home from work! Is it a club, park, or what? Who do I talk to to join, if it's a club? Erich |

| I eventually got accepted to the Hurricane RC forum, and asked what the deal was. I was told very frankly, that there will be NO rock course at the Lake Park facility, period. This came from some guy called "Batman" who is suposedly the club president and facility director: http://www.horrc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=456 Apparently, they are scared of the liability issues with having rocks laying around...I guess somewhere a kid had a boulder roll over him nearly killing him. I can't fathom how that would be a possibility with a man-made rock course, but whatever. I have my spot already picked out at the Gandy Bridge, as well as the nice park at the Skyway. I hope they don't have some poor kid fall off their pretty driver stand out there at LP...Maybe they should have that thing taken down, just in case?? Last edited by ErichF; 03-16-2009 at 09:37 AM. |
