Yes I did and I drove the course last. I also reminded every driver to look for them.

So stelerzman , correct me if I'm wrong. You hid the scale parts along the course, for a time bonus prior to the comp. then you you collected those parts on you're run to claim you won the comp based on finding the items you hid?

Re: Sunday, Sunday, Sunday....In Palm Beach County

Yes, this is correct."thumbsup"

I did remind every driver before they started there run to look for the "trinkets" scale parts.

Re: Sunday, Sunday, Sunday....In Palm Beach County

Oh, and keep in mind I made sure everyone had every opportunity to collect as many as possible. Only 10 parts were hidden.
If you think about it, i could have been SOL by the end of the day.

Remember, i drove last.

Stelerzman. I believe a "comp" is a group of competitors on a level playing field. so if only one knows where to find hidden bonus "trinkets" and then claims he wins the comp is wrong. How is the person who hides these items eligible to find them for the win?

Re: Sunday, Sunday, Sunday....In Palm Beach County

I think what has to happen next time is after everyone runs the course John set up, one of the other drivers consults with him on the location of the trinkets and relocates them for Johns run. This way he doesn't know where they are located. This will keep it equal for all the drivers in the future. Just my 2 cents.

How about this, every comp someone else sets up the course and hides said bonus items and only observers and scores the event. This way no one has a complaint.
Lmk.

Sounds like fun to me.

When is the next one? I hope to have my rig ready.

Re: Sunday, Sunday, Sunday....In Palm Beach County

April 19th is the next comp. I'm planning a good event. 50+ gates with a trail section that will take everyone outside the gated area. So looking at around a 50/50 split of inside/outside.
Hope your mud proof, that will be used as well.

Sorry no mud for me, I will take the penalty on that one. My new rig is well "new" also brushless so no mud. Can you make an alternate path maybe?

Re: Sunday, Sunday, Sunday....In Palm Beach County

depending on how he sets it up, you may just have to take a gate penalty and go around it. GST does when there is mud.

So now I am just waiting on my ESC from HolmesHobbies and I will be good to go. I don't see why it would not be here by then.
