Though that series had nothing to do with npb. It was a miramar\haulover event. We may work npb into the next one though, if Papa John will let me have the combo lock code ;-)

Hey cool man. And thats good pic, ya I am new to comp crawling. I would like to start doing it. I been learning as much as I CAn from here. I want to come out next time and see what its about.

SFLCRAWLER 10-25-2010 05:19 PM

kennyj 10-25-2010 06:28 PM

The single biggest upgrade would be tires.

Mini 10-25-2010 06:39 PM

What Kenny said tires is a must, also since your runing stock rims look into some sticky weights for the front and rear to keep the tires planted. Oh and look into getting panels you can't comp if you don't have panels on the chassis.

I already have the weight and im going to get the new rovers. Because I'm running droop shock I thought the height will help me a lot. I made the lower link plates already. Next i am ordering the servp plate and 4 link setup. The 3 link already sloppy. I have a ok high torque servo. But any suggestion

Mini 10-26-2010 11:40 AM

I would go with a hitec 7955 anything that requires high voltage and het a BEC if you don't have one already. 4 link is the best way to go, you want belly clearance but you don't want a monster truck lift eaither.

If you start a build thread in the ax10 section, you will get alot more help from alot more people"thumbsup"

DickyT 10-26-2010 12:52 PM

I hate to say it because the Edge chassis looks cool as hell, but if you want to start comping you will want a chassis designed around competition. Fastback, Moonbuggy, FF-4, GC-3A etc. They offer much better suspension geometry and will climb, descend and sidehill much better do to it.

The Edge is a direct bolt on chassis using stock geometry, which leave much to be desired.

SFLCRAWLER 10-26-2010 03:09 PM

Thanks alot. Ya I know when I got it it wasn't the best for comp but I couldn't beat the 40$ sale lol. I going to get good with this and than step up when I'm tired of getting my but kicked. That's why I want to come out and see what its all about. I will be seeing you next week. "thumbsup"

richardgarrett56 10-26-2010 03:36 PM

siht you cant beat a 40 dollar rig"thumbsup"

stelerzman 10-29-2010 04:13 PM

"thumbsup"hell, what a great price, you gotta start someplace. the more you drive the better you'll get, believe me, i know i need more wheel time. its just so hard to come by."thumbsup"

i have some sluggs that will fit in the holes of the stock wheels if you want them, they are around 1 oz each. let me know.
