Hey guys, I've been thinking of visiting Florida for a week. If I do, I'll be west of Boynton Beach. Just posting to see if anyone wants to gtg. I was going to bring my FOFF and Micro for sure... maybe the Mini. I'd like to take my SCX 10 (which means I won't be bringing many clothes with me, just rigs in the suitcase ) if anyone does want to gtg or if there's a scale comp, maybe I could run with you guys? I saw your Palm Beach scaler & crawler course... looks pretty nice Are the public beaches RC friendly... as long as I stay away from crowded areas? |

The Boynton Beach Inlet has some rocks and the life guards shouldn't bother you. Gotta hit it on low tide tho. At high tide most of the rocks are underwater. You don't have to play near the water tho. We will be @ Miramar on the 4th(sunday) It will be our first series comp. Many should bring 1.9's and scalers. You should come over The other spots are longer distances, but if you want to drive, there are a few Last edited by Tydl; 11-02-2011 at 06:44 PM. |

I bought my tickets. I'll be in Boynton Beach From Sat Dec 3rd - Fri Dec 9th. I'm renting a car for the first few days too. At your Sunday comp, are you guys comping scalers or just crawlers? My 1.9 crawler is out of spec, the wb is illegal. I'm trying to figure out what rigs I should/can bring with me. |

The north guys are running a trial G6 in Gainesville on the 4th. Looks like the southern boys have their first season comp @ Miramar on the 4th. |

Yeah, that's why I decided to leave the scaler, Gainesville is way to far away. I think I can make Miramar... my mini isn't legal though. What side do you live on Robotboy, N or S? |

I had a great time in FL. The MRC performed great, no breakdowns. The F'n Bastard shredded a trans gear but RC Boca hooked me up, they invited me out to the warehouse so I could skip delivery! I forgot my Robinson Racing gears and slipper that I was planning on rebuild the trans with once I got there... it all worked out though. I think I'm going to Ft. Myers in Feb... Chicago kinda blows during these months. Here's a few pics on the Boynton Beach rocks: |
