Either cast yota axles or ax10 axles for sure... The ax10 axles are going to be the best bet but the RC4WD cast yota axles are more scale by far..

I'm going for a look like this:

He is using K44's and they look awesome but are expensive as hell. They are 176mm wide and the Axial is 196mm. The Yota's are 180mm so they could be a possibility.

KEEP IN MIND! your building this truck to open up you terrain options.
This means your going to be abusing this truck a bit more than your tamiya. For longevity and ease of use.. the axial axles are going to be the best offering for the best value out of all axles. The parts support is unparallelled and they look scale tucked up under the NB TJ

If you dont mind me suggesting, I would steer clear of any 2pole motor for the MonsterTruck, you'd be much better off with a Tekin T8 buggy motor in a 2000-2650kv on 3s.
Even if your just kinda crawling or low speeds runs with it the bigger 4 pole motor and higher voltage will give you twice the power and efficiency and still have butter smooth control.
Just my 2cents

This is true but I still want it to look good. Lol. I've also been looking at the plastic T-Rex 60's. They look great and are 190mm. Not sure as far as durability but they are about the same $$ as the Axial's. I was browsing through the JK pic thread and many of them are running SCX10 axles and they looked good. I think I'll just wait till I get this thing, maybe bring it to a G2G and see how they would look under it, I know you probably have a few sets laying around.

Every auto parts store in this area has started carrying pvc-coated steel tubing instead of stainless. Ugly looking stuff. May resort to online ordering.
