gears for the traxxas slash will work.

32pitch.

54/14 is a safe gear combo and will bolt up

tell the lhs you need replacement gears for your traxxas slash 4x4.

I ask Bender about gears and how long they are lasting. Bender said that with a cover over the the pinion and spur (for the sand) the stock 48 pitch gears work great. so save some money.

Anymore thoughts on a good pinion/spur balance?
Currently running a VXL but will switch to CC cms 5700 and Mamba Max as soon as I solder the battery plugs on the MM.
All stock gear ratio's (axles and trans) but everything beefed up with Robinson Racing in trans and HD bevel gears in the axles.

I've been thinking something like 16/50 to try and keep some low end.

BWD, what combo were you running during your first water crossings?
That still had the VXl in it, right?

I bought a 54t slash spur based on posts I read here and the bolt radius isn't even close to fitting an axial tranny, with either the stock slipper or the locked option. Am I missing something? Don't want Johnny running into the same problem

I was going to order the Associated that Scattman posted. I think I tried to fit a Traxxas spur when I got my first Axial...

Just run the screws in little by little. The holes in the plastic spur will oval a little. By the time you tighten them up all the way. Whalla. 32p gears...

I installed the Associated 50 and Robinson racing 16 last night.
It's a good place to start.
Video in my build thread.

I'm still on 2s so I'm holding off on gearing changes till I solder up the 3s.

I also picked up a set of Axial Overdrive gears for the axles.
