| Junkyard FOFF tire question
I am currently building a FOFF from parts I already have and would like to know if it would be an ok or good setup running pro-line sand paws in the rear and pro-line dirt paws front as that is all I have and I'm broke lol. The setup they would be going on is as follows: Wheely king axles and a donated hitech 7950 servo RC4WD r1 tranny and their punisher shafts Chopped Scx-10 chassis Tekin r1 esc and tekin redline 7.5t sensorless motor 2s or 3s lipo whichever is better Scx-10 aluminum shocks And an RJ-speed modified outlaw rocker body Wheelbase:13" Width:9.75" or 10" not sure yet So would the tire setup be ok to do and is the rest of the setup ok as well? This is my first FOFF and just need a second opinion lol thanks also will post pics very soon ps I appreciate any and all criticism it is welcome! |

Can anyone offer any insight or criticism into any part of my build?

I would say after building my first one.. It all depends on terrain. Mine with sand tires is about useless. I have much more fun with some aggressive mud tires or pins. But, I live hundreds of miles from any real coast to play on.

| See I also live far from much sand but there is a little but there is a ton of loose soft dirt that the paddles work well on . Thanks for the comment! Does the rest of the build sound like it's up to par?

As far as the tired go you should be fine, i ran dirtpaws on the back of my basher stadium truck and it did great in the sand and loose surfaces.

Yea I just was thinking if I am going uphill more weight will be leaning back so paddles rear but a lot lot of people say to run them front as well does anyone know why that is?

Well im sure it would help to have paddles on the front too, but you gotta run with what you got, and the dirtpaws will be fine i bet.

The build sounds good to me. Hope you have an idea on CVDs for the WKs. I know I was breaking them with a weak brushless system.

| Oh I will be posting pics very soon and you will see my idea but I changed from the chopped scx chassis and switched to the ax chassis with the proline tuber so that has changed in my build but that's it besides the custom Deleon links and skid I do honestly have an idea for some cvd's though and if it works I will be sure to post how I did it for others appreciate the responses keep em coming especially if anyone has any pointers or tips that may not have crossed my mind!
