| Torque Twist?
OK, so I've got a question as I'm looking at Building a FOFF basher. Would it be worth it to look at having counter rotating driveshafts? So, run one axle standard and the other reversed rotation? Essentially what I'm thinking is using two pinions having one as throughput to the rear axle and the second pinion is simply to reverse the rotation of the front output shaft. Have to play with getting the one axle rotating in the right direction though (run it upside down?). just a thought, but wouldn't the counter rotating shafts counteract each other ... or would it compound the issue. Suspension geometry will be my primary means to combat twist but just had a thought about the rest of it. Thanks for any advice Dave |

Most Formula offroad trucks dont get the traction needed for that problem. Your best bet is independent suspension. Correct me if I am wrong but with a link set up it should not be a problem. Evan |
