Angry Breaking axles!

Is any body else popping the heads off the Axial stock "dog bones".......All the time?

I've broke a half dozen or more, also the stub shafts-cups wear really fast, which leads to breaking the "dog bones".

Any input, I'm wondering if Berg "dog bones" and axle shafts would hold up better.......

i've not broken any dogbones yet. they do wear some, but i put that down to the power of brushless. as for stub axles, i use the 3 racing ones, but even they wear.

i just live with it

the Axial cvd's lasted me a long time... till I took out of the foff and put them in the fat scaler, then snap.

More power means more breakage, 300's if SDS will make us some.

Yeah, I know its the nature of the brushless beast, and these were not designed for this abuse, But I'm ready to try something different....

I've got a spare set Axial CVD's , but was leary of going that route since I killed the 3racing ones I had on like the first pack. I might give the Axial ones a go, I've got a stick of music wire for pins....

Any thoughts on the Berg dog bones?

My only question, do you have wheel widners?
That maybe the root of the problem. Extra stress and strain on the drive line.
Just a thought.

Good luck on finding the problem.

Power is the problem, They break with wideners or without just not enough beef at the base of the ball end......I'm going another direction now.

berg shafts are worse than axial's..

go with the cvd's and tune your epa's and slipper clutch if you got one on your tranny.

adjusting the slipper will save you from breaking parts.
it takes sometime to get it just right, but well worth it in the long run.
