Default FOFF Whiplash on Vanquish Currie axles

When I bought this it had modified stock AX10 axle housings and the axles were junk. The Beeftubes were stripped, bearings were missing, the rear axle shafts were twisted, front axle shafts were bent, there was a problem with the knuckles, front housing was busted and both housings were missing screws.

So I bought some Vanquish Currie axles

Bwd Whiplash 13.5
Vanquish Currie axles
Traxxas brushless
3s lipo
jr servo
cac 2.2 wheels
Currie axles
Proline shocks.

Great first post, i hate you.

Did you gain or lose ground clearance compared to the stock axle housing?

If you don't mind how much did you pay?

The paddles look tiny. Need some good size meats (IMO) on the Wraith, something like this...

2.8 Sand Paws

Thanks guys! I'm not sure about the ground clearance, and I've been thinking about going with larger tires but all I have are the 2.2s at the moment

Sweet, let us know how they come out.
Also, what's going on with the axles? It looks as though they are clocked. Can you pull a wheel and post up a side view if the axle and drive shaft angle. Thanks.

the axle is clocked like that because its a rock jock replic.

heres the rock jock60

its actualy a complete redising on the d60 casting creating a flat botton asweel as a good driveline angle, it doesnt appear to be as good as the hipinion 78 dana ford dana 60 but will slide over the rocks much better then them. and rock crawlers have been getting lower and lower in the last 10 years so the high pinion isnt as needed as it used to be. offroad rigs suspension is getting shorter and tires bigger but also more travel as were mostly all 4 linked on coilovers now

This answered a lot of questions for me. Awesome, not dragging diff covers over raunchy terrain.

After research and some reading, I now understand your axle.choice.

I've only used this twice, once in my driveway and once in my friends lawn
I need to take this bad boy out and do some hill climbs! I need someone to film this

You can't beat the rock jock axle for most any of road application were a solid axle is used.

Its kinda the holy grail of axles in 1:1 world.

Now, why run a Tranny? Wouldnt direct drive set up pull better wheelies and throw more sand? Ive got Paddles on my EXO and it rips way better thru the sand than anything with a tranny.
