Try it. If it happens to be
too much just keep the mamba system for a 1/8th buggy.

It kind of depends on what the weight will be when complete. If it's a heavy rig you may need the extra power.
What are you building.
Tuber style or a poly body?
What size batteries?
What voltage?

My buddy had the 2200kv mamba set up in his Wraith stupid fast we only played with it in training mode to make clean lines... Personally thats a big power house if you building a super rig that weights alot ok but if not i would opt out...

You can get plenty of power with a MMP pro 4 or similar motor and timing through the esc and that's about max on those axles. I would use a monster with a 1/6 build and twin mad force axles on 5-6s

Yes it is too much power. You're drive line will not be able to support the torque. Heck, the Traxxas Emaxx and E-Revo drive line has trouble harnessing that much power. Yes, I owned them before.....nasty power!

Its not to much. Most haven't tried it or even similar power.

I run a 2100 kV motor vehicle on motor is species at 2650 watts on 5s.

Unlimited vertical with paddles.

I'm running revo drive lines Robinson tranny gears hotvaceing spools. Hot racing axle gears.

What I've found is driving style makes a big difrence. If you drive like an idiot it will break.

Axle gears seem to became common service item now while everything else holds up very well.

I stand corrected....it is not too much power as long as you replace every component in the driveline with upgraded parts...........whats the point?

If you build the rig to handle the MM power then you will be ok, just make sure you have everything locked down.
I'm gunna install a Pro4 motor in my current build, I've taken every possible precaution to ensure the drive line can stand up to the power of the motor.

Good luck and hope all works out for you.

Most people upgrade everything anyways.

The cool thing is voltage is what breaks parts. These motors do have enough power to strip plastic gears within seconds. Can run 2-6 well maybe six not sure what the neuh monster is rated to run at.

I actually seem to have less breakage then the crawler guys running not even a third of the power. The must get a tire bound up and punch it

a friend is running the mamba monster esc and 2200kv motor in his savage and its got enough power but not too much..

im turning my twin hammers into more of a foff rig.. but im planning on a 4200-4600kv brushless power and paddles.

id take voltage over kv anyday

2650 kv on 5s or 4s would be the ticket for foffer rig

Another thing, you don't have to run 4s with a MM. I use one in a SC truck with a castle 2400 4pole and 3s. Its nice to not worry about your electronics overheating. The fan has never even come on, and the motor can barely hit 140 if I try hard.

I bet it even runs well on 2s. These 4poles are fairly versatile

I also think 2650kv is a good spot for foffing

My 2100kv on 4s is a little slow to me. On 5s its just right 6s is uncontrollable in the dirt but for some treason manageable in the sand with paddles..
6s on 2.2 paddles

4s with paddles

Same motor and gearing on 2 or 3s
