| question about sand hill climbing
Hello, I have a few sand pits near my house and want to know what would be a good set up for building a high powered rig. The hills are pretty long and steep. I would like to have a motor esc comb that will run cool for full throttle for a long period of time. I know gearing will be the biggest factor but I want the most wheel speed as possible. Using the 3.8 rim size wheels or larger

1/8 scale motors will be the easiest to keep cool.

Thanks, I was kind of thinking that, I guess the larger the motor the motr heat it will handle so try to keep rig as light as possible to keep the heat out of motor? Castle 2200 would be a good choice for 6s with a lite rig? Thinking of a small tube chassis like an r1 with wraith axles maybe?

Lower kV higher voltage is more efficient and produces less heat. I run 2200-kV on 4-6s. There's a few bids of it floating around here. My current setup 150amp track star ESC and turnigy 2200kv 1/8 scale. Ive been running the ESC internal became for 2 years with no problems. Last edited by evan03; 05-16-2014 at 09:50 PM. |

Is that a valve stem sticking out of your RR wheel? Quote:

Lol yes it is a valve stem. I attempted to run air with those wheels. Didn't work. It's now for scale appeal.
