Default Carbon, my second R1 Build

I was pretty happy with my first R1 build, but there were some things I wanted to improve, so I sold it off and am building another. My last one:

This one will have a Futaba 3PM-X with All wheel steering/crabwalk, Black 90mm Shocks, Rear Wheel steering, lots of hopups. Ripper777s inboard skid plate, all 5 lights, a rear light and a brushless outrunner setup running on a 1300mah 2S Lipo. Also running HPI rovers...

A sneak peak. I'm still waiting on the hopup parts from junfac before I can continue the build but I just finished the panels.

The Junfac hopups are due for delivery tomorrow so should be able to get the links together and get a roller...

I love building these.

I may need a Castle BEC as well..

R1 is finished. I powered through tonight and literally built the entire thing. All that is left is wiring cleanup, body panels, ESC tuning, and lighting.

Thing FLYS and does donuts like a monster truck does. Video uploading now. Its with the 3000kv motor. Its not too bad for crawling in all honesty it cogs a little but less than the 1000kv from ezrun. Might be a good balance for bashing/crawling at the beach etc.

Shocks aren't scratched they just have paper towel dust from cleaning them.... Note new junfac tube bumper

All wheel steering baby. Note new tuber bumper from junfac.

video incoming

Thank you. I really enjoy building these things when I'm sick. I have a rare disease that keeps me at home a lot, so this gives me something to tinker with. Love RC cars. Especially scale stuff.

This R1 looks really good! Wish they made a guard for the lights on the top, would imagine they come off rather easily with a good turn over...

Thanks! its my second. I LOVE building RC stuff, not so much driving them. I think this ones a keeper.

They roll forward in every rollover. No need for a guard really. It'd just be more weight. Don't tighten the light bar down all the way and they'll flip down every time with no damage to the lights. The only thing I've had happen is an LED slip out of the light body.

Also, the top body panel must be trimmed back to allow for tilting back and for the wiring anyway.

Lipos on the way from Korea and I may be switching to an outrunner.

body panels bolted on, all lighting done. Decided against a reverse light, might change that later. Switched to the 1000kv motor for now until lipos come.

I like the First one better. The red and black combo can't be beat but that is just my prefference. They both are super cool! I want one!

Daign

Please, what are electronic items (motor, esc, servos, batery etc) that you used in your R1?

One more question:

You will sell this too? kkkkk

Tks ...

Thanks for all the compliments. Going to take it to the beach this week and do some tidepool crawling to break it in.

It is currently running an EZrun 35A ESC with a 3000kv tacon motor. I am waiting on a Holmes Hobby Revolver to replace the Tacon. I am using a Futaba 3P-MX radio with hitec 645mg servos. Lighting is a yeah racing unit.

I'd consider selling it, but it'd likely be the last one I make. They're fun to build, but not 3 in a row

PM me if you're interested.

I'm interested, but depends on the price. What is the price you want for this Gmade R1?

Did you use real carbon fiber panels? If so how did you bend it on the side panels? I am looking to do something similar but with a different color carbon fiber. Also what lipos are you planning on running?

K so got the new outrunner motor and the new skid plate with inboard link locations in, Already torque roll is reduced, and the holmes hobby torquemaster has no cogging. It will crawl at a snails pace with no cogging or issues. Also took some updated photos of the beast. I need to rewire the ESC with XT60 connectors and clean up all the wiring.

Inboard links will keep me from getting hung up on rocks and triangulates the suspension.

Its a nice piece....

Lastly people always wonder how the top lamps dont get smashed.

They Roll down every time.

BEC is coming this week and I may take it to state beach in oxnard or griffith park tomorrow for some crawling.

Nope 3m 3d Carbon Fiber Vinyl. Its tough as legit carbon, applied to the body panels and cut to fit.
