Any opinions from people about what slides better - Delrin or aluminum? I'm on the fence between them. Thanks!

Nice work dude, nothing more impressive than a bit of home grown modification!! My only thought was though, with the was things are laid out will all the hardware not get really hung up on break overs & when trying to climb up onto rocks? As for which is slicker for a skid Alu or Delrin i think Delrin personally, it even almost feels slippery to the touch |

Great work mate, its always good to see people making their own upgrade parts. Unfortunately the way you have done it will only cause you to get hung up a whole lot more. You ideally want the skid to be as flat as possible with counter sunk screws. So that the skid can just slide over any obstacles. In particular the rear lower link mount will catch quite badly. If you can turn it over so that it is flat side down it will work a lot better. Kirk: Delrin is much slipperier than ali. Last edited by Highlucks; 08-21-2010 at 10:47 AM. |
