Default R1 motor

I am thinking of a 17.5 Tekin brushless for my R1. It will be used as a rock racer / basher any thoughts?

I think that will be a bad azz motor!! I hear a lot of folks starting with a 34-45T motor then going to a 27T and its STILL not enough wheel speed, the R1 is a rig thast you definitely need wheels speen on, but not too much as to lose your bottom end control....as we all know...
its a light crawler, so a higher turn motor is the way to go, then just gear it or dial it out to your liking

but I know with the Trans and Portals its geared pretty slow so that I think will be a nice motor!! run it on 3s if you can then you will have plenty of low end grunt and lootsa wheels speed at hand!!!
