| r1 wheel bearing problem
I want to know if any of you have already exploded the axle bearings "5x8x2.5" its r1

Yes I had to replace all of the little one after a year of hard abuse.

Got to be honest, i thought the bearings looked and felt a bit cheap... but the buggy is cheap anyway. You would have to add another 100/150 quid to get a wraith.....

| If you're using the R1 as a crawler then they'll generally last a decent while. Put in a fast motor and run it as a rock racer as I do and they'll start failing fairly often. If you put on axle wideners and run it as a rock racer then you can expect to blast them apart every other run. The axle half shafts are another real weak point. Do a jump and catch a wheel on landing then you'll hear a loud snap - that only means one thing. Other than those two weak points its a well made kit. I'm yet to break anything else (touch wood) Particularly impressed with the plastic universal drive shafts. I've had a 19 turn motor in my R1 and they still show no sign of breaking or weakening. I've had metal universals blast apart with far less abuse.

I plan on getting Boca Bearings or some other Aftermarket bearings for mine. Has anyone else went this route????
