What's the easiest way to set the transmission gear mesh I put the motor in the Komodo but I don't like what sounds like gears slipping and crunching ...lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

on these 32p transmissions,i snug down the motor screws with the mesh close,i use a small screwdriver to slowly turn the pinion and find the tightest spot.at that point i have just a small tick of play between the spur and pinion at the tightest place.the loosest place will be a little wider but won't hurt anything and will be much quieter.i also run rr pinion gears because the stock pinions have a lot of run out.be sure to use plenty of grease.hope this helps

Piece of paper is the way to go, nitro and electric. Gmade transmissions are louder than most. My Sawback is way loud. |

Yeah, the gmade trans is 32 pitch gears out of the box. It's noisy to some people but I cut my teeth on tamiya kits as a kid so it sounds great to me. |

Same here. Never used the stock pinion and the tranny is not noisy at all.

I just installed a robinson racing pinion and some grease and haven't had a problem so I doubt that you need to replace the trans gears.
