Default I need help

What's the easiest way to set the transmission gear mesh

I put the motor in the Komodo but I don't like what sounds like gears slipping and crunching ...lol

on these 32p transmissions,i snug down the motor screws with the mesh close,i use a small screwdriver to slowly turn the pinion and find the tightest spot.at that point i have just a small tick of play between the spur and pinion at the tightest place.the loosest place will be a little wider but won't hurt anything and will be much quieter.i also run rr pinion gears because the stock pinions have a lot of run out.be sure to use plenty of grease.hope this helps

I also have a rr pinion on the 35t rc4wd motor

I'm gonna try it the way I always did with the nitro motors

Piece of paper ... maybe it will or maybe it won't work

Piece of paper is the way to go, nitro and electric.

Gmade transmissions are louder than most. My Sawback is way loud.

Yeah, the gmade trans is 32 pitch gears out of the box. It's noisy to some people but I cut my teeth on tamiya kits as a kid so it sounds great to me.

I don't remember that! Probably because I built it a long time ago and never had to open it because it's a tough, low maintenance transmission.

Same here. Never used the stock pinion and the tranny is not noisy at all.

I just installed a robinson racing pinion and some grease and haven't had a problem so I doubt that you need to replace the trans gears.

No. Only replace the motor pinion by a good quality one.
