| what other trannies can you run other than a e-maxx that will halndle big wheels? i can find savage and lst trannies on ebay but would they work at all for a crawler? |

| nitro trannies would be hard to adapt because some have parts that engage at certin rpms so they would be hard to use. I really dont know if you could do it, but i heard that the lst tranny is pretty beefy... |

| We've run Stampede trannies in many larger scale trucks with good results. Metal Idle gear is a good idea. |

| Yeah you have to get the aluminum idler gear and possibly a Cold Fusion Racing main diff gear ($60). I can pretty much guarantee that the tranny gears will never go with that setup. Also try to get a 12t Robinson Racing pinion since they are made out of harder metal than most pinions. Either Duratrax, HPI, or Kimbrough make carbon fiber spurs gears for it. I personally have never seen a metal spur unless you want to get a custom one. Remember its 48 pitch. |
