I have seen a couple of people using alluminum servo horns on 1/10 servos. Does any one know were I can get some of these? Thanks Ryan

Any hobby shop, either online or locally. Just figure out what style splines your servo uses (futaba, hitec) and get one that matches.

Just be carefull if you plan to put a aluminum servo horn onto a plastic servo gear.... the gear won't last. Metal geared servos with a metal output work best with a metal horn.

Good point. Also keep in mind that even the metal geared servos are not indestructable. I've blown up 3 sets of metal gears since I switched to aluminum servo horns.

I just used one of the plastic arms that came with the Hitec 645mg.

I also use the plastic arms that come with the 645s. And even those are strong enough to strip the metal gears first. I did have one shear though. I wish they all did...damn stripped gears...

Ofna makes some that have a plastic adapter to fit most servo splines. Plus they strip before the gears break usually. My TXT has stripped out a few but my TLT's have not. So tire size makes a difference.
