Default Biggest pinion for a GD-600?

I searched, looks like an 18tooth is the biggest that anybody has used on the motor in a GD. Is that correct? If not, anybody know what is the biggest pinion that will fit (on the motor) in a GD? Thanx!

well the 18tooth pinion comes with the GD600.. plus its a good starting point for gear ratio

Twisted, I just got a lathe motor for my TXT. I lost abunch of tirespeed; as I figured would happen. Doesn't seem to have hurt any, the truck still crawls/climbs everything it could do before. The extra power and runtime are great!

I had a 13 tooth pinion on the lathe motor because it's what I ran with the old motor. I can't find the pinion that came with the GD. I'd like to run a bigger pinion to get back some of the tirespeed, and also want to keep the GD because I like where it puts the motor.

You can see the endbell of the motor just to the left of the battery in the above pic. The battery and motor sit below the tops of the tires.

I think I put a 17tooth on the tranny side of the GD. I wanted to use a big one there because I drilled it to fit the 5MM output. I probably could mount a bigger pinion there to lessen the reduction by some also.

I tried different pinions while tweaking my TXT. The biggest I could fit in the GD was a 21T from Robinson Racing. But, I finally ended up using the stock pinion in the GD, and an 11T in the tranny with a Kyosho reverse mega motor. I couldn't ask for a better combo of torque, runtime, and wheelspeed.
